A Fairy Tale Experience

I liked the Travel Source on Facebook and have recommended you several times–a general recommendation to FB friends but also specifically to a few folks who have become very interested in visiting Morocco, partly because of seeing my pictures. I hope down the road you’ll hear from them!

My time in Morocco was splendid! The Travel Source responded promptly to all my inquiries and provided remarkable value for the cost of my individual tour. Namir, my driver/guide, is a wonderful person–knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring, dependable–and helped me in countless ways. I felt utterly safe in his company and as I interacted with other Moroccans at the riads and restaurants and during the camel trek and night of camping–very important for a woman traveling alone. I loved the gorges, the kasbahs, the desert dunes, the old city of Fes, and so much else. It was fascinating to visit the weavers and the ceramic artists and watch them at work. And what a pleasure to share the beauty and adventure with family and friends through social media. When I got back to Chicago, one friend confessed, “I almost didn’t want you to come home, I was enjoying your pictures so much!”

Favorite riad: La Perle du Dades. Absolutely magical! I felt like I was in a fairy tale!

Riad Yasmine in Marrakech came second. Really lovely.

My list of places yet to visit is long, and my budget will always be limited–but I would so love to return to Morocco someday! Thank you for putting together such a wonderful experience for me.

All best,
Ruth
