Merzouga

One of the "must sees" of Morocco are the sand dunes on the edge of the Sahara Desert .

Although they are located a full day drive from Marrakech or Fes , the dunes offer a wide variety of options. The dunes are easily accessible by 4 x 4 from Erfoud (40 minute drive). Once you arrive at the dunes, you can choose to spend the night in the little inn on the edge of dunes OR take a camel trek into the Oasis to sleep in the Berber tents.
